Loved the chicken shawarma. But it was my first visit so I can't have much to go on. I will go back and try more and recommend the restaurant.
Just visited today and was incredibly impressed by the experience at Lakeside. Just peeked in at around 6:30-7pm and there was just a bit of a line but didn't wait more than 3 minutes, quick and friendly service! Recently moved into Carleton Place from Ottawa (the alleged "Shawarma" capital) and although they have some great Shawarma places over there, Lakeside blows them out of the water. Fresh ingredients, nothing was sitting around at all. Fresh, crispy garlic potatoes were made for everyone and the garlic sauce was some of the best I've had. H u g e portions for incredibly cheap prices, seriously. You won't be able to find a place anywhere in the area that serves half the amount of food Lakeside does for a fraction of the price.I'll be coming back as a regular!
There is nothing bad to say. The food is heavenly, Moe the owner is a great guy. Price is very good. All I can say is stop reading reviews and go try it, you won't be disappointed. You'll be hooked.
